Location

The workshop is a 10 minute walk from Kennington Underground (metro) station, which is on the Northern Line, one stop from Waterloo station and twenty minutes away – also on the Northern Line – from the new St Pancras Eurostar Terminal. It is easily reached by car also, with secure and free parking available in Peacock Yard itself. It is near the junction of the A3 and A2 (M2 / M20) roads, with the M1, M4, M11 and M25 within easy reach.

Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports are approximately 45 minutes away by train, coach or car, and of course London City Airport – convenient for flights from nearby cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh and Paris - is close by, across the city.

Since Peacock Yard is not marked on all of the London maps and the tourist versions available, the map below will help you to find us. We strongly advise visitors to use Kennington station rather than the Elephant & Castle, since ongoing redevelopment work at the latter station means there is constant disruption to the subways and pedestrian access, and it is easy to get lost having embarked there – even locals do !

We welcome visitors to the workshop, but please either telephone or email us first to make an appointment; there is usually a selection of instruments here to try, and we have an extensive portfolio of photographs of our work which can be viewed. We can collect you from Kennington station by car.

The workshop is outside of mad clown Boris' so-called central London 'congestion charging zone', so if driving from the south, you can follow the M2/A2 Old Kent Road, the M20/A20/A215 Walworth Road or the M3/A3 Kennington Park Road and avoid it

Drivers using the M4 or M40 can also avoid the charging zone, we recommend you use SatNav or a maps app to navigate and avoid it.
